The Blizzard of '09

Well, I'm not getting any of it, unfortunately, but a few hours to the north of me in VA and MD they sure are!

Here are some pictures from my oldest daughter and sister - both near the D.C. area.

My son-in-law trying to get the car out to go to work a little while ago. He barely made it and will have to have somebody with a 4 wheeler drive him home at midnight tonight! He works outside guarding the Senate (or House). Daisy, their beautiful dog, is "helping".

A shot of Daisy laying in the snow completely unphased by it:
A picture from my sister's place about an hour north of D.C.
How pretty her house looks:
I sure wish I was up there with them all snuggled inside their beautiful, cozy homes!

Hi I think Daisy looks like a white polar bear in that picture and she looks like she is in "heaven"---boy not me--I love looking at "snowing" but I will be inside quilting a quilt on my lap!!!!
No snow here in this part of NY state!!! But it is on the cold side!!!
Hugs, Di

Close Mom, but Aaron's a Sgt. now, so no more outside guarding for him!! And, Daisy likes the snow again because we put Musher's Secret on her sensitive little paws & ears...no more snowballs! Yay! Miss you :-)

Hi Phyllis,
I am glad that we do not have snow. It is suppose to go down to 28 tonight tho.
Boy I wish I was 50+ again, but sadly I am way past that!! Inside I am young, then my body reminds me that I am not!!
I am sure that I will talk to you before Christmas but you might just take off again. So
Have a very Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year!!!! I wish only the best for you, Fern

Hi Phyllis
Thanks for your lovely comment over at my blog. I found the vintage style pictures on the web and just googled something like 'vintage christmas art'...I cant remember exactly now!
The snow you've had is amazing. We have had snow here in the UK too but not as much as that!
Have a wonderful Christmas and very happy 2010!
